There are still a lot of questions regarding Cursed season 2, given that Netflix hasn't yet officially renewed the series. Despite the lack of announcement, many were optimistic the Katherine Langford-led series will be renewed for another installment.

While Cursed season 2 was not yet renewed, the series is already one of the popular newly-released shows on Netflix. In fact, it ranked in the second spot in its first weekend of release. So, there's no reason for concern here. There's a huge possibility the platform would pick up for a second season.

Netflix usually renews a series a few weeks or months after its release to gauge viewing numbers and audience interest. Perhaps, the streaming service wanted to make sure that there's a demand for another season before making renewal announcements.

If Netflix decides to renew the series, then, we could expect some news by the end of September 2020. But, when it comes to the release date, nothing is certain largely because of the real-life health crisis happening around the globe.

Most TV and film production has been halted due to the COVID-19 outbreak, so there's possibility Cursed season 2 potential premiere might be delayed, as well. Cast and crew may not start filming anytime soon, as everything depends on the current situation.

The series might have a slightly longer turnaround than other Netflix series, considering the different locations and scale of the production. There are a lot of things to be considered first; so, we could expect the arrival of Cursed season 2 either in late 2021 or early 2022.

Meanwhile, the first season ended with several cliffhangers, hinting there are still a lot of stories that needed to explore moving forward. Sister Iris shot Nimue, who fell off the water and seemingly dead. Because of this, Merlin was able to reclaim Sword of Power for himself and recovered his immense magical powers.

In the Arthurian legends, Nimue is better known as the "Lady of the Lake," who handed the sword Excalibur to Arthur. Even though she was shot with an arrow and fell off the water, she could possibly recover from her wounds with the help of her magic.

The second installment could see Nimue, eventually, becoming the ethereal Lady of the Lake. She'll likely emerge from the water to reclaim the Sword of Power for herself. Also, other stories that should be addressed include Sister Iris in a gold mask and the Weeping Monk revealing his name is Lancelot.

Cursed season 2 stars Katherine Langford as Nimue, Devon Terrell as Arthur, Gustaf Skarsgård as Merlin, Daniel Sharman as Weeping Monk/Lancelot, Sebastian Armesto as Uther Pendragon, Lily Newmark as Pym, Emily Coates as Sister Iris, and Shalom Brune-Franklin as Igraine/Morgana.
