Meghan Markle became a member of the Royal Family after she married Prince Harry in 2018. Given the popularity of the younger son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, and Meghan’s celebrity background, their union was one of the most anticipated and celebrated.
While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding day was close to perfect, it wasn’t as amazing to one of their guests. Troian Bellisario, who is known for her role in Pretty Little Liars, and she’s also a former co-star of the Duchess of Sussex in Suits, revealed that attending the couple’s Royal Wedding was a “nightmare.”
Troian Bellisario shared that she had “extreme anxiety” about wearing a fascinator headpiece at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding. “I’d never needed a fascinator in my life, and here I was trying to walk this tightrope of 'don't go too big, don't go too small.’ It was a nightmare,” she said.
The actress added that she was worried that what her stylist brought for her to wear during Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding was proper for the event or not. She told her Aussie stylist that she would never forgive her if she will be torn apart by the British press because of her fascinator. Fortunately, her headpiece did not cause any criticism.
Meanwhile, Prince William and Prince Harry are two of the most popular and well-loved members of the royal family, which is why people are very interested in them more than the others. So, when Prince William got married to Kate Middleton in 2011, and Prince Harry tied the knot with Meghan Markle in 2018, many were curious about the details of their nuptials, including the cost.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding cost $45.8 million, making it the most expensive nuptials within the royal family, according to Bridebook. The royal family covered most of the wedding expenses, while the Duchess of Sussex paid for her wedding dress.
The whole $45.8 million didn’t go to the wedding alone. The $40 million was used to pay for security, which was shouldered by the taxpayers.
As for Prince William and Kate Middleton, their wedding cost $34 million, which is still a hefty price, but nothing near the amount of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials. Also, only $8 million was used to pay for security around Westminster Abbey.
