BTS V has proved his popularity in China again by entering the Top 100 of the Super Topic list on the social media site Weibo.

The Super Topic list on Weibo, the biggest social media platform in China, is a gauge to measure the strength of celebrity fan clubs. To make it to the list, the celebrities' pages and online presence in topic discussions on Weibo are also factored into the equation.

Traditionally, the list is pretty tough to crack for foreign celebrities as mostly Chinese stars dominate the Super Topic chart. However, BTS V easily managed to make it to the Star List, which meant he ranked among the top 100 stars in China while his fellow BTS members were ranked on the Potential List, which meant they were among the 101-200th ranking. BTS V managed to get 1,084,073 points by himself, outperforming BTS' group standing at 500,928, All Kpop reported.

BTS V did not only dominate the Weibo platform. He, also, performed well with his Baidu index and WeChat index. Baidu is China's largest search engine while WeChat is considered the most popular social media app in the country. Chinese students who are taking college examinations also seem to draw inspiration from Kim Taehyung as V's popularity soared on SNS, page views, search terms, and ranking.

Meanwhile,  BTS V's Sweet Night is continuing to do well in different parts of the world as the song managed top the charts in 109 countries.

It can be recalled that V composed, produced, and recorded the song to support his good friend Park Seo Joon's drama Itaewon Class which aired on JTBC early in the year. The song became part of the drama's OST.

With his current record, Kim Taehyung became the first artist in history to take No. 1 for a song in 109 countries. With the feat, he also managed to achieve an all-kill in all European countries when Sweet Night hit No. 1 in Switzerland.

With a No. 1 in 109 countries, V now leads Adele who topped the chart in 102 countries and his group BTS who claimed the top spot on iTunes in 104 countries. They are, so far, the only artists in the world to top the iTunes charts in over a hundred countries.

Even though its been several months since Sweet Night came out, it also continues to do well on the iTunes Top Songs chart. It, recently, celebrated its 62nd week on the chart after it came out in March, All Kpop reported.

V is, reportedly, planning to release his solo mixtape by the end of the year. In a recent broadcast, he said he already completed writing eight songs for a possible solo album.
