Prince William and Prince Harry had a strong bond since they were young boys. The public enjoys watching their unconditional support for each other, and their brotherly bickering as well.
Despite Prince William’s marriage to Kate Middleton in 2011, the royal brothers still maintained their close relationship. Prince Harry and Kate, also, quickly became close with the younger son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana calling the Duchess of Cambridge the big sister he never had in a 2017 interview.
Unfortunately, things changed when Prince Harry married Meghan Markle in 2018. The rift between the couples quickly circulated when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex removed themselves from the joint foundation with the Cambridges.
As expected, fans who love the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry needed to blame someone for the fallout. Since the rift started when Meghan Markle joined the royal family, she was the easiest target. A lot of royal fans believed that the Duchess of Sussex should exert some effort into fitting in with the royal family and not the other way around.
Now, a royal expert claimed that the only way for Prince William and Prince Harry to settle their feud is if the latter returns to the U.K. Dickie Arbiter, who was a press spokesman for the Queen from 1988 to 2000, also pointed out that the royal brothers had been through a lot, and they had always carried and supported each other. So, he was hoping that they would finally mend their rift.
"Harry being in Los Angeles and William and Catherine being in the United Kingdom, a great big ocean, a lot of land between, and it's not going to be broached until such time they actually get together [and Harry comes] back to the UK,” he said.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are, currently, living in Los Angeles with their son Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are making a fresh start in the U.S. after turning their backs on royal life.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry announced last month that he would merge his Endeavour Fund charity, which was held under The Royal Foundation ran by Prince William and Kate Middleton, with his Invictus Games event.
The Endeavour Fund was first established by Prince Harry in 2012. At the time, he, Prince William, and Kate Middleton were patrons of The Royal Foundation. With the announcement of the merge, the Duke of Sussex is cutting further ties with his brother and sister-in-law.
