Remaining at Aston Villa appeared no longer a top priority for Jack Grealish, who is believed to be a signing target by Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the upcoming transfer window. The Villa captain said he is unsure of returning to his boyhood club next season.

Villa just scored a win against Arsenal, and the victory could boost the club's chances of remaining in the Premier League. That game, however, could be the last for the 24-year-old as he is believed gearing up for the move to a new side next season, no matter Villa's fate at the end of the campaign.

When asked if he had played his last game at the Villa Park with the club, Grealish admitted he is now unsure. But he added that his priority is to ensure that Villa not be relegated from top-flight football.

"I have one aim and that's to keep this club in the Premier League. This whole club, this whole fan base knows where we belong. That's all I'm thinking about at the moment," Metro reported the winger as saying.

Where Grealish will bring his game next, though is still up in the air. The Villa star could have joined the Red Devils in January, but he opted to finish the season with his side and wait out for the summer transfer window for the big move.

The same report, however, indicated that Solskjaer's hiring priority at the moment is Borussia Dortmund sensation, Jadon Sancho. It is understood that for United, the focus is on the Bundesliga star, and a deal on Grealish could be postponed for another 12 months.

In any case, Jamie Redknapp is looking forward to seeing Grealish donning a new jersey next season. The Liverpool legend said the Villa team captain did his best for struggling club and ready to move to bigger things.

Redknapp acknowledged that the midfielder played not too well in recent games, which he explained as part of the pressure of being the lone star on the side. The Liverpool hero said Grealish is regarded as the Villa main man, which, on many occasions, will be hard to live by at all times.

According to Express, Redknapp is confident that Grealish can handle even greater when he becomes part of a bigger club like United.

Said the former Reds star: "Be the man, make the difference, keep the team up."

Also, Phil Neville joined in and advised Grealish to surpass the thing he did for Aston Villa when gets the chance to join the Old Trafford side. Specifically, the United legend said Grealish would need to step up on scoring and assist numbers, which he noted were lacking with Villas' campaign in the season.
