Everyone knows Kate Middleton for her elegant and classy style, but an insider revealed she is keeping things casual as of late. Prince William's wife is now choosing affordable "high street brands" for the Cambridge kids -- Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis -- but it should not have any "slogans or hideous writing."

After Kate shared Prince George's photo for his seventh birthday, insiders noticed that she has been making "conscious effort to keep things casual." The Cambridges' firstborn donned a £7.99 Mango polo shirt while giving everyone a sweet smile to mark his born day.

A source said, via The Sun, the Duchess of Cambridge is far happier dressing up herself and her three kids in "country appropriate clothes." The family has been spending most of their time at Anmer Hall since the coronavirus lockdown began.

The insider continued the 38-year-old royal likes more "relaxed, plain but practical" polo shirts and T-shirts from the brands of Mango or H&M. It is a must that the clothes should never have any hideous writings or slogans on it, "favored by downmarket suppliers."

In addition, with their love of the outdoors, the family has now replaced their "old fashion clothes" with more "sporty, preppy, beachcombing" attire. The tipster added informality is the "nub" of their Anmer living, and their clothing shows just like that.

Meanwhile, it has been seven years since Prince William and Kate welcomed their first child, Prince George. From a little bean wrapped in their arms when the royal watchers first saw him with his parents leaving the hospital, he is now a grown handsome kid.

In a true Cambridge kids' tradition, the future queen consort shared a couple of brand new snaps of their eldest child, taken by Kate herself earlier this month, Town and Country noted. The celebrations of the royals' birthday parties are usually private. But, one of Prince George's godmother, Julia Samuel, an old friend of Princess Diana, revealed the gifts she chose to give him.

In an interview on How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast, Samuel revealed she tried to replicate the late People's Princess' way of giving "impossible toys" that were noisy and took a lot of making. Despite the time it might take Prince George before he enjoys his present, according to People, it is a hit for the kid and his godmother, making them both laugh. Now, she hopes her new gift for Prince George's seventh birthday will make them chuckle once again.
