Meghan Markle and Prince Harry officially stepped down from their senior royal roles at the end of March. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shocked the world when they announced early this year that they would be quitting royal life.
After their withdrawal, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved to the US with their son Archie to make a fresh start. Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are no longer working royals, they have been doing their own thing after their exit.

While some see this move as Meghan Markle trying to seek her own path since leaving the Royal Family, many are convinced that she’s copying Princess Diana. The Princess of Wales rebelled against the monarchy after her divorce from Prince Charles, and it appears like the Duchess of Sussex is doing just that.
Princess Diana may have an angelic face, but she was often recognized as a royal rebel. The Princess of Wales was not keen on following strict Royal Family rules as she was known for doing her own thing. The Royal family expected more from the People’s Princess, but she defied most of the mantra of The Firm.
While Meghan Markle tried to adapt to Royal life, she previously shared her frustrations of wanting to defend herself, but she was not allowed to do it. The Duchess of Sussex filed a lawsuit against the publisher of The Mail on Sunday and MailOnline for publishing part of her private letter to her estranged father Thomas Markle in 2018. In the documents, Meghan’s legal team claimed that she was “unprotected by the Institution and prohibited from defending herself.”
This was not the first time that Meghan Markle implied that the Royal Family did not support her. The Duchess of Sussex opened up about her struggles to Tom Bradby in the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey last year, revealing that nobody asked if she was okay. The former actress' revelation seemingly hinted that the Royal Family did not care about her situation.
