Snowfall season 4 is coming on FX, but there's still a question as to when it could officially arrive. The network hasn't yet revealed the release date of the new installment since filming is not yet complete. It also remains uncertain when the series could re-enter production.

Despite the long wait, the hype for Snowfall season 4 continues. Some of the cast members are expressing their excitement on social media, as well as executive producer Leonard Chang. In a post via Twitter, he noted the series may take a while but viewers will "like the next season."

Previously, series star Damon Idris also teased fans the upcoming installment will deliver excellent and interesting stories. But, there's still no official news as to when production could kick-off again. While filming is partially done, FX won't likely release new episodes anytime soon.

Perhaps, one of the reasons why FX is delaying the release Snowfall season 4 is because they won't be splitting the episodes of the new installment. The network probably wants the entire season to be complete so we have to wait for a while in order to see it.

As for the filming, CarterMatt noted it may not start anytime soon since the current health situation in California isn't getting better. There are only a few shows that are currently back to work and the FX series is not included. There's no indication that production resumes in the coming months.

All three preceding seasons were released in July and concluded in September, but that won't be followed in Snowfall season 4. If production resumes later in the summer, the series could premiere either later this year or in early 2021.

There could also be filming changes in the new installment. The series may have fewer group scenes and extras this time around, given that certain health guidelines should be followed. The story may also be scaled down to make it a little bit simpler.

When Snowfall season 4 premieres, we could see a completely different dimension in the life of Franklin Saint. New alliances will be forged and some of the character will be dealing with heartbreaks. The series will continue tool at the drug trade at the time it was taking off in Los Angeles.
