Caught on the euphoria of securing a Champions League spot next season, Manchester United star Paul Pogba took to social media to celebrate the Red Devils' No. 3 finish in the Premier League. The club will play against the best of Europe in the upcoming campaign and the Frenchman seemed excited about the rosy prospect.

Pogba's triumphant mood in an Instagram post following United's 2-1 win over Leicester City on Sunday appeared to indicate his plan to continue with the side of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"Let's goooooo Champions League baby," the midfielder posted on IG, and United fans came to understand that the shout out revealed his intention to continue playing for the English club.

Metro said the IG post seemed a strong suggestion that Pogba will still be around when United started on the campaign to win Europe's most prestigious football title. At best, the World Cup appeared to indicate that he'll be with the side next season and will not leave this summer.

Pogba's existing deal with Old Trafford will end in 2021 but the club has the option to extend the contract for another 12 months. So the French star is tied up with the team for two more years but the possibility remains he could leave anytime.

Pogba had required twice for a transfer as he plotted to move out in the last two seasons to either rejoin Juventus or sign up with Real Madrid. However, no deals have materialized in his favor and the underway coronavirus pandemic only prevented his exit from United anytime soon.

Football clubs have been dealing with financial pressures due to the global health crisis and no teams are expected to meet the transfer fee attached to Pogba. The player's high salary is also deemed a huge turn off for interested clubs so the likelihood of him leaving soon appeared dim at the moment.

In any case, the Frenchman seemed more decided now to at least see out the rest of his contract with United in a better position to win titles than in the past few years. A big part of the club's resurgence was the arrival in January of Bruno Fernandes.

The Portuguese playmaker is seen as a perfect complement to Pogba and the two playing led to United displaying an excellent run in form that started after the winter break and continued when the football season resumed last June.

However, Roy Keane said that while Pogba is "absolutely brilliant," he still expects a higher level of consistency from the United star.

"Pogba's got qualities but he doesn't do enough week in, week out," Express reported the United legend as saying.

The club hero said it is without a doubt that Pogba has the talent and quality but the player has to give more.
