Fear the Walking Dead season 6 wasn't able to finish its production due to the current global health crisis. But, the good news is that AMC finally revealed the official release date of the new installment and it is set to arrive within a few months.
AMC confirmed that Fear the Walking Dead season 6 will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 9 PM Eastern Time. Many were delighted with the news, especially since there were previous speculations it won't be arriving this year on the network.
Unlike The Walking Dead season 10 finale, the spin-off series wasn't able to finish filming the entire season. Production was halted due to the real-life health crisis, leaving the show's fate in question. But, prior to the release date announcement, Deadline reported the series might still be released in 2020.
Now, it's already confirmed that we'll be getting new episodes of Fear the Walking Dead season 6 this year. Some intense battles are coming here, with the teaser shows that Ginny's empire has seemingly stranded most of the characters.
All of them tried to be helpful in the previous season, but their efforts lead them nowhere good. One of the biggest concerns entering the new installment is Morgan, who's in real danger. He's left for dead in season 5 and his whereabouts remain unknown as of yet.
The huge cliffhanger is season 5 finale was when Ginny shot Morgan. The closing moments show the latter is struggling to survive and couldn't find a way to escape his current situation. This might be the major focus of the series once it premieres.
Although his life is on the line, Morgan may possibly make it out alive. There's a huge chance he survives his dangerous situation, based on some recent teases and with Lennie James being present on the series' official panel.
In addition, James told Digital Spy what lies ahead in Fear the Walking Dead season 6. He said that whatever happens in the story don't go the way everybody thinks it may go and teased the upcoming episode would have a slightly different shade and color.
James added that the latest installment may cover longer and shorter periods of time -- depending on the story. What's also different here is that the storytelling wouldn't be linear as it has been in the past. He, then, hinted that Fear the Walking Dead season 6 would be a big one for Morgan.
