Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won are, reportedly, in talks to star in a new project helmed by It's Okay Not to Be Okay producing director Park Shin Woo.

According to a report by Soompi, the agency for both actors confirmed that Kim Ji Won and Ji Chang Wook are positively looking at the offers for the upcoming project entitled City Couple's Way of Love.

Kim Ji Won's new agency SALT Entertainment said that Kim Ji Won is positively reviewing the offer and that the agency is already in talks about the project.

Ji Chang Wook, who is currently starring in the MBC drama Backstreet Rookie, is also expected to accept the project, according to his agency, Glorious Entertainment.

If both actors agree to the drama, it is expected that director Park Shin Woo will shoot City Couple's Way of Love shortly after filming It's Okay Not to Be Okay.

Ji Chang Wook is, also, expected to jump right into filming the new drama after he concludes his appearance in his current project.

The short-form drama will be an interesting project for both Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won because it will only consist of 12 episodes with 25 minutes per installment.

The drama, which will be co-written by I Need Romance and Discovery of Love writer Jung Hyun Jung with Jung Da Yeon, is reportedly targeting to begin filming this October and air the series on KakaoTV y November.

This will be Kim Ji Won's first project under SALT Entertainment after she left her former agency, King Kong by Starship last December.

It can be recalled that her last project was the fantasy series Arthdal Chronicles on tVn, opposite Song Joong Ki. The epic series, which was produced with a ₩54 billion budget, was also aired by Netflix and received global viewership. It was the most expensive series produced in Korea, followed by another Netflix original series, Kingdom and Lee Min Ho's comeback drama, The King: Eternal Monarch, according to Kpopmap.

Meanwhile, this will be Ji Chang Wook's third straight romance drama after he completed his military service. He, previously, starred, opposite Won Jin Ah, in Melting Me Softly last year. He signed on to another rom-com based on a webtoon with Backstreet Rookie.

Backstreet Rookie has been receiving positive reviews and steady ratings as July 12 episode posted 5.5 percent and 8.7 percent for its two-part episode, Soompi reported.
