Jadon Sancho is facing an enviable predicament. Reports said he is the transfer target of two elite Premier League clubs and the England International has to choose the direction to take this summer. Will it be Old Trafford for the Bundesliga sensation or Anfield, the home of the reigning champions?

For Manchester United, signing the Borussia Dortmund winger is a top priority in the upcoming transfer window. The club has already indicated that adding Sancho to the roster for next season precedes all the hiring targets earlier identified by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

To this end, Metro said United would be willing to forego the planned acquisition of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa. Grealish has been priced too high by his team and if Villa will remain adamant on the transfer fee, Solskjaer is walking away from the transfer talks.

In Sancho's case, Solskjaer appeared confident that the transfer from Germany to England is pushing through. The youngster is very much wanted by the Red Devils and in turn, the 20-year-old is said to be keen on the switch, his interest likely boosted by United's assured Champions League spot for next season.

However, the discussion for Sancho's jump to United could be scuttled by disagreement on the money to exchange between hands. Dortmund seemed determined to get the most out of the goalscorer and the German side is not releasing him unless the payment amounts to £100 million or more.

Solskjaer has the cash and the backing of the United board to spend up to £140 million this summer but the Norwegian will not blow the bulk of that cash on Sancho alone. His position: BVB has to review the player's valuation and factor in the financial pressures created by the coronavirus pandemic.

There is no indication at the moment if any of the two parties are willing to adjust but Sancho is surely not running out of options. If United should decide to back out, then he can weigh in on the possibility of playing for Jurgen Klopp.

According to The Daily Mail, the Dortmund star is more excited by the thought of representing Anfield next season. The reason is obvious, Klopp's side is a proven winner and that fact is supported by the successive wins in Europe and the Premier League.

The publication said that if Sancho is the one to decide now, he seemed to "prefer a move to Liverpool," where the chance is high for the youngster to lift trophies and silverware.

Pundits though are saying that going to Liverpool could mean that Sancho will need to compete hard to earn his spot on the Reds' three-man attack of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah. Whereas in United, the England international is seen to slide in to complete the attacking force of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
