BTS will take the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards for the first time on August 30.

According to a report by All Kpop , RM, J-Hope, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will perform for the MTV VMA crowd for the first time, just a few days after they release their first full English track.

Fans have expressed hope that BTS will perform their new track Dynamite on the popular award-giving event, which will be telecast all over the world.

It can be recalled that BTS was, recently, nominated for three categories at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards. They received nominations for Best Kpop,  Best Pop, and Best Choreography for ON.

Last year, BTS managed to take home two awards for Best Kpop and Best Group so it remains to be seen how they will fare this year as they are pitted against fellow Kpop acts EXO, G(I)-DLE, MONSTA X, Red Velvet, and TXT.

They will, also, face off with strong competition like the powerhouse tandem of Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and Quavo, as well as Taylor Swift for other categories.

Fans are looking forward to seeing  BTS perform their first English track in front of an international audience since BTS promised that it will be an upbeat song that seeks to uplift the spirits of ARMYs who are suffering from sadness because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

ARMYs expressed confidence that BTS will nail their performance after they already experienced major performances at the Billboard Music Awards and last year's Grammys.

BTS has, so far, been the only act confirmed for the 2020 MTV VMAs, which will happen live in New York's Barclay Center on August 30, 8 p.m. ET/PT.

This will be the first live awards show after the U.S. imposed shutdowns on mass gatherings and events amid the rampant spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Performances will be streamed live from five boroughs, according to the announcement.

Even as BTS prepares for the release of their single Dynamite on August 21, the members are, also, preparing for the release of their comeback album, which will be released before the end of the year.

The album will be their second major comeback after the massive success of their Map of the Soul: 7 album released last February 21.

Also, V is, reportedly, working on his solo mixtape, which is also being eyed for release before the end of 2020. He will be the first of BTS' vocal line to release a mixtape.
