Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming unofficial biography will reportedly detail their romance, marriage, and separation from the Royal Family. Royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, who had unique access to the Royal Family and have witnessed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's lives, penned “Finding Freedom”.
Meghan Markle joined the Royal Family in 2018. While she and Prince Harry quickly became two of the most beloved members of the clan, reports started to swirl that the former actress was not blending well with the other royals as she should be.
Royal Rota hosts Chris Ship and Lizzie Robinson discussed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s alleged rift with Prince William and Kate Middleton. The duo argued that the relationship should be looked at from multiple perspectives.
An extract from “Finding Freedom” revealed that Meghan Markle talked about telling someone that she gave up everything to be a member of the Royal Family. The Duchess of Sussex was reportedly saddened that her relationship with the royals didn’t work out.
Lizzie Robinson noted that the unofficial biography also indicates that Kate Middleton didn’t do enough to repair Prince William and Prince Harry’s strained relationship. However, Chris Ship pointed out that the Duchess of Cambridge was pregnant at the time the alleged falling out of the royal brothers happened.
"The book talks about how Kate did little to bridge the divide between the two brothers. It also talks about how Kate's relationship with Meghan never really got off the starting block. We know that Meghan and Kate are very different people, that is obvious,“ Lizzie Robinson said.
But Lizzie shared that Prince William and Kate Middleton tried to reach out to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by inviting them to spend Christmas with them at Anmer Hall. Royal expert Katie Nicholl even previously said that the Duchess of Cambridge made an effort to cook Meghan’s favorite meal during a dinner together.
Katie shared that royal insiders reported that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle tried to be close, but they just couldn’t “click.” Despite not having much in common, the Duchesses allegedly tried to unite.
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced earlier this year that royal life is not for them anymore. And at the end of March, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially stepped down from their senior royal roles. They are currently living in Los Angeles with their son Archie.
