The Chi season 3 episode 9 is coming this weekend on Showtime, with the title "Lackin'". This is the penultimate episode of the season, so be prepared for a power-packed story line leading to the finale. Ronnie's redemption, in particular, should be the major focus here.
According to the synopsis of The Chi season 3 episode 9, Ronnie's church community praised him with some of the things he's done recently. However, some people don't want to forget his past mistakes and they believe he can't be saved and redeemed.
Ronnie wants to make up for all of his past wrongdoings, but he also knows that doing so is never easy. While saving Keisha moves him one step closer to redemption, there are people out there who don't think his one good deed cancels out all his bad ones.
He's still accountable for some of the things he did before, so it might be difficult for him to prove that he has suddenly changed. Ronnie needs to do his best to correct his past mistakes, and this storyline may continue in the season finale.
Keisha's storyline is also one of the major parts of the series this season. She's been through a lot and her trauma will continue to impact her as the series moves forward. Her life turned upside down and everything won't be the same anymore after that kidnapping incident.
The remaining episodes of the series see the character dealing with her pain and battling the demons inside her head. Keisha is known to be free and she takes ownership of her own body, but the way she views herself changes now. She is broken and living in a different world.
As for what else is coming, The Chi season 3 episode 4 sees Dom and Emmett preparing for their grand opening. They will try to make their new venture work, but they may encounter some setbacks along the way. Kevin, on the other hand, balances his relationships with his obligations.
Meanwhile, Showtime hasn't renewed The Chi season 4 as of this writing, so we have to wait for an announcement in the coming weeks. There's a good chance the series is coming back for more as the current installment introduced new storylines. But if it ever is renewed, we can't expect it to arrive anytime soon, considering the current global health crisis.
