Lucifer season 5 is dropping its first eight episodes on Netflix within a few weeks. The series has been releasing a lot of details about what to expect, making fans even more excited. One of the biggest twists this season is the arrival of the titular character's twin brother, Michael.
But, aside from that, Lucifer season 5 is, also, sharing photos featuring other characters. For instance, one of the recently-released images showed Amenadiel standing in front of a funhouse. Based on his stance, he is observing his surroundings and looking for someone.
Amenadiel is more reserve, unlike Lucifer. But, eventually, he opened up to others and entered a relationship with Dr. Linda. The two shared a half-human, half-angel baby named Charlie, who was kidnapped by the demons to make him the new King of Hell in season 3 finale.
Amenadiel, Lucifer, and others saved Charlie -- but the situation led the titular character to return to Hell. Now, the photo hints that Amenadiel might be spending some time with his son on Earth and he's surveying the surroundings to see if evil creatures are lurking around.
Also, Lucifer season 5 shared a photo featuring Dan, who's seemingly in the middle of a brutal confrontation. Until now, he's dealing with the death of Charlotte and he's blaming Lucifer for what happened. He's also punishing himself to forget this by doing his old habits.
Since Lucifer isn't around early run of the season, Dan and the rest of the LAPD might be experiencing a certain degree of change. While most people at the department feel sad that the titular character is gone, Dan might be less grumpy because Lucifer is not there to annoy him.
It's, also, interesting to see whether or not Dan will find out that the titular character is the real devil in Lucifer season 5. If ever he finds out the truth, his perspective towards him might change. He'll either distance himself from him or respect him, knowing that he is the King of Hell.
Meanwhile, the series wasn't able to film the remaining eight episodes this season as production was halted due to the global health crisis. There is no clear indication when filming could resume since everything all depends on the current situation. But, if the fifth installment resumes production by the end of this year, we could expect the second half dropping at some point in 2021.
Lucifer season 5 will air on Friday, Aug. 21, on Netflix.
