The Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK collaboration is confirmed, with the news coming from Gomez herself. She also announced the digital premiere of her newly produced movie.

After weeks of guessing on who could be the next artist to collaborate with BLACKPINK, Gomez shared the answer on her Instagram account. In her message, the Rare singer expressed excitement about her upcoming song with BLACKPINK. 

The K-pop girl group's agency, YG Entertainment, also confirmed that it will be Gomez in the septet's next song. YG and the "Lose You to Love Me" singer also shared the official promotional poster for the song. 

It featured artwork that has Selena and the "Kill This Love" singers' names over what seems to be dripping paint or chocolate. Gomez also mentioned in her post that the song will be available on August 28, but she did not reveal the title. 

Selenators and BLINKs have shared their excitement about the upcoming song, with some saying that the collaboration will surely have the greatest vibe that fans of both are expecting.

The upcoming song will be BLACKPINK's follow-up to their record-breaking single "How You Like That." The song was released on June 26 and its music video broke five Guinness World Records. The song with Gomez and "How Do You Like That" will also be included on the highly anticipated first full-length album of BLACKPINK, titled The Album, that is set to drop on October 2.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez also announced in a video teaser the virtual premiere of the movie This Is The Year. The film was produced by Gomez and it is also the directorial debut of her good friend, David Henrie. The two worked together in Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place from 2007 to 2012.

Gomez will reunite with Henrie on the online premiere of their movie which will be on August 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Fans can purchase tickets to the movie from its official website here

The "Hands to Myself" singer invited her fans to watch This Is The Year with them. Selena assured her fans that this feel-good movie is what everyone wants to see amid all the chaos that is going on around the world. Gomez and Henrie will also be doing a Q&A along with the rest of the cast.
