The Chi season 3 episode 9 is airing this weekend on Showtime, with the title "Lackin.'" A lot of stories are coming here, especially since the episode serves as the penultimate of the season. Ronnie's future, in particular, is in question as he's contemplating over whether or not staying in Chicago for a long time.
Ronnie (Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine) is in a tight position entering The Chi season 3 episode 9. He is considering leaving the town and wanted to start a new life elsewhere. This guy has gone through a lot and battled the demons inside his head. He wanted some redemption but recognized it won't be easy.
Even though he saved Keisha (Birgundi Baker), some people don't feel positive about him. Some members of their church community praised him for what he did, but others don't want to forget the mistakes he's done in the past. It remains to be seen whether he's capable of full redemption.
Ronnie wanted to change and become a better man, yet there are people out there who believe his recent actions won't erase his bad deeds. Hence, he'll probably consider going to a different place and starting anew. And since this is the penultimate episode, we could expect huge decisions being made.
As for what else is coming in The Chi season 3 episode 9, the promo hinted that a drama is coming with Emmett (Jacob Latimore) and Dom's (La La Anthony) relationship. The two are planning to move forward with their grand opening plan, but their personal bond could ruin their plan.
Emmett and Dom want to open Sonny's place to express their vision and they've been working hard to make it a better place. They have cool ideas, but it looks like their opinions differ, as well. For instance, they're trying to come up with the right name for the place, with Dom suggesting "Emmett and Dom's".
However, Emmett thinks it's bad luck and he doesn't want to jinx the situation. What's even more complicated is that they've slept together, and Tiff (Hannaha Hall) is suspicious that something's going on. Emmett and Dom have developed a close relationship, but their bond crossed many lines.
This is something that would play out in the penultimate episode. We could expect a lot of drama coming, leading to big events in the season finale.
