EXO's leader Suho was named as the Best Kpop Leader of 2020 by popular poll site King's Choice.
According to a report by All Kpop, Suho was voted the Best Kpop Leader by 6,744,780 fans. A total of 29 million votes were cast for the poll which ended last August 15.
Suho is, currently, on hiatus and serving in the military. But, fans did not forget how well he steered EXO through the tough issues that the group went through early this year.
It can be recalled that EXO hit a rough patch last January when Chen, suddenly, announced that he was getting married to his pregnant girlfriend.
The news divided EXO-Ls with some fans demanding the immediate expulsion of Chen from the group. Some fans criticized Chen and said that his continued presence in EXO would cause the group's reputation damage.
There were even fans who staged a physical protest in front of SM Entertainment's building, threatening a boycott against the group if Chen stayed on.
Luckily, local and international fans remained solid behind EXO and said that they would continue to support EXO with nine members. Throughout the ordeal, Suho rallied the fans and encouraged them to remain united amid issues plaguing EXO. He constantly reminded his members and their EXO-L fandom of their motto: "We are One EXO," through his words and deeds.
Suho is, also, known to be a levelheaded leader who earned the love and respect of his members with his calm demeanor and maturity.
In EXO's variety show and reality show appearances, fans observed that the EXO leader always had an eye out for his members, keeping them in check whenever they got too unruly or enjoyed themselves too much. He also had a great sense of humor and joked around with his members, making their activities fun and lighthearted.
Trailing at second place is BTS' leader RM with 6,718,154 votes. RM is, also, considered a great Kpop leader because of his intelligence, his taste in art, maturity, and artistry, SoMag reported.
BTS maknae Jungkook, on more than one occasion, expressed his admiration for RM and said that he looked up to him as a big brother, a leader and as an artist. In a recent guesting for I-LAND, V and Suga declared that RM was the best leader.
In third place was TWICE's Jihyo. She earned 815,248 votes for her excellent leadership of TWICE's nine members.
