Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have long been rumored not to be close. While there are not enough proofs to confirm these claims, many are convinced that the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex are at war.

Rumor has it that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s “public catfight” left one of them crying. It was, allegedly, Prince William’s wife who brought to teas by the former actress at a bridesmaid fitting for Princess Charlotte before her royal wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.

But, according to one of the authors of Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie, it is "impossible to imagine" Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle fighting. He, then, added that "there were no tears from anyone” during that time.

"There are big rumors that I think have plagued the couple for some time. Some of them were quite ridiculous, to be honest. Whether Meghan made Kate cry at bridesmaids fitting, when you think about it it's really impossible to imagine these two professional women in some sort of public catfight,” he said.

Omid Scobie pointed out that it’s hard for women marrying into the Royal Family. He shared that he believes there are more stories about how tough the situation is than what was shared with the public.

Before Meghan Markle joined the royal family, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry were known as the royal trio. The young royals share an extremely close bond, and they are often seen at royal engagements sharing a good laugh. When the former actress became a part of the mix, their trio became the royal fab four.

While the Cambridges and Sussexes worked well at first, their bond slowly became different. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle removed themselves from their joint foundation with Prince William and Kate Middleton, seemingly confirming their feud.

As expected, fans who love the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry needed to blame someone for the fallout. Since the rift started when Meghan Markle joined the royal family, she was the most natural target.

Meanwhile, royal expert Katie Nicholl said that royal insiders reported that the Duchesses tried to be close, but they just couldn’t “click.” She shared that the duchesses don’t have much in common, but that does not mean that they don’t attempt to unite at all. The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly made an effort to cook Meghan’s favorite meal during a dinner together.
