After months of self-isolation, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip will now get to see their family at Balmoral Castle. Some members of the British Royal Family will head to the Aberdeenshire property to be with the royal couple.

This comes after the lockdown measures in some of the European countries have eased. However, the visits of the British royals will be on a "staggered" schedule.

Sources told Vanity Fair that it will be "a bit of a military operation." Nevertheless, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will finally get to be with their family, whom they have not seen for more than four months.

The insiders added that they have missed their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, so they are "hoping" to spend time with them this summer.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip moved into isolation in mid-March. They both flew to Windsor Castle from Buckingham Palace and Sandringham Estate, respectively.

It was only recently that they relocated to Balmoral. Reports noted that the royal couple, especially the Queen, always spends summers at the property.

This year, however, their summer stay reportedly entailed "meticulous" planning, according to the Daily Express. Buckingham Palace also released a statement that their relocation earlier this month followed all "relevant guidelines and advice."

Among all the British royals, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip only saw the York family earlier in July. They attended Princess Beatrice's wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on the grounds of Windsor.

Several publications previously reported that no other royals attended the event because of the lockdown. So, the upcoming "staggered" visits this month will be the first time that the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will see the rest of the family.

Sources added that Prince Edward's family are currently visiting the royal couple. While the dates have remained undisclosed, more visits will reportedly be coming from Prince Andrew, alongside the two York Princesses, and Princess Anne, along with Zara and Peter Philips.

Kate Middleton and Prince William are also hoping to visit Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. However, it remains unconfirmed whether they will leave Anmer Hall, together with their three kids.

As for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the publications said that they will be "notably absent." The same is also said to be true about their return to the country.

Mike Tindall later on confirmed that they had plans to celebrate the Princess Royal's birthday at Balmoral. However, they had to cancel because Aberdeen underwent full lockdown two days after Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip arrived at the property.
