J-Hope earned the nickname “Sunshine” from ARMYs because of his bright and bubbly personality. The BTS star even has a smile that fans say can make their sadness go away.

But what happens if J-Hope is the one who gets sad?  The “Ego” rapper revealed this week how he copes with sadness while dealing with the coronavirus pandemic during BTS's interview with USA Today.

“I think we’re trying to do the things that we can do in the situation that we have. ‘What is it that can lift me up?’ ‘What is it that can lift us up?.’ The conclusion is always going to be music and dance that lifts me up. I’ve been trying to listen to music, write music, dance – that’s what I’ve been trying to do to cope with the situation,” J-Hope said.

What made ARMYs burst into UwUs with J-Hope’s answer is the fact that he stayed on brand. The “Chicken Noodle Soup” singer is known for his positive vibe, and his response is something that fans expected from him.

J-Hope is someone who always sees the positive side of things. So instead of lingering on the thought that they could not perform their new songs live in front of ARMYs, the BTS rapper decided to make the most of his time and do the things that make him happy.

While ARMYs love J-Hope’s positive vibe, many can’t help but wonder how he could be so energized and cheerful all the time. During BTS’s interview with Indonesian brand Tokopedia last month, the “Ego” rapper revealed his secret.

The interviewer pointed out that despite the skyrocketing number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia, many Indonesian ARMYs have managed to handle the difficulties caused by the pandemic by using J-Hope's positivity as a model. He even called the BTS rapper’s optimism and energetic dancing as his "superpower."

After hearing the compliment, J-Hope flexed his arm while giving everyone a sweet and bashful smile. The “Chicken Noodle Soup” hitmaker then shared that he got his “superpower” from ARMYs.

On February 4, the Zach Sang Show posted its interview with BTS, where the boys discussed the meaning behind their album, “Map of the Soul: 7.” When the host asked the members how they measure success, J-Hope stayed on-brand as well.

J-Hope shared that success to him is seeing people around him smiling. He said that if he sees his family and ARMYs smiling at their concert, then he feels successful.
