It has been constantly speculated that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are at war. Even though there is no solid proof to back up these claims, a lot of royal fans are convinced that the duchesses are not as close as they should be.
According to a royal expert, Meghan Markle may be feeling the same way as most people do. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly felt “disappointed” that Kate Middleton didn’t give her more support during her time as a senior royal.
“But certainly where more depth was required or perhaps a stronger shoulder of support from the Duchess of Cambridge's side, we saw that that didn't happen, over and over again. And it was one of the things that really left Meghan a bit disappointed in that friendship as there were times that she really would've appreciated that extra support internally,” Omid Scobie said.
Many thought that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle would be best of friends after the latter joined the Royal Family in 2018. The pair had a similar journey to the clan, as they were both commoners before marrying Prince William and Prince Harry.
Previous reports revealed that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle were not actually at war, but definitely struggled to click. They also allegedly couldn't move past their "distant politeness.”
While people could only guess the real status of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s relationship, one thing is for sure – the women enjoy watching the Wimbledon tennis tournament. In fact, the Duchesses have been attending the event together for the past couple of years. They were even spotted whispering to each other as they watched the Ladies' singles final in the front row of the royal box in 2018.
Unfortunately, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been forced to cancel this get-together as the London-based tournament has been called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, a feud between the Cambridges and Sussexes had been speculated for quite a while. But before the alleged rift, the two couples appeared to have a good relationship. A throwback interview revealed what the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were like during their first meeting with the former actress.
Prince Harry said during his and Meghan Markle’s engagement interview in 2017 that the meeting was exciting. The Duke of Sussex shared that his brother and Kate Middleton had been longing to meet Meghan.
