Ariana Grande was, also, part of the team that worked on Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK's upcoming collaboration entitled "Ice Cream."

The "Thank U, Next" singer, recently, gave a shoutout to the entire team that worked on "Ice Cream" on her Instagram Stories and shared how she was also involved in the project. She, also, tagged her "7 Rings" producer Tommy Brown, Victoria Monet, and Mr. Franks in the post, CNA reported.

Ariana said that she was very proud of Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK for working so hard on the song. She added that sheer amount of woman power in the track was unprecedented.

Ariana's post confirmed fan theories that the Grammy winner was collaborating with BLACKPINK in her own way since last year. It can be recalled that, in 2019, Tommy Brown flew to South Korea to work with Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose in a studio. Ariana, also, interacted with the group on social media when they posted a groufie as they hung out with Tommy. Ariana asked to be photoshopped into the picture, which Tommy later updated on his Instagram.

With only a few days left for the release of BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez's "Ice Cream," the five women shared their excitement with the fans through a video call, Soompi reported.

Selena interacted with Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose and jokingly referred to the difference in their time zones.

Rose said that BLACKPINK was super excited to collaborate with Selena because they have been long time fans of the former Disney star. Selena, also, admitted that she was a big fan of BLACKPINK. She said their collaboration was a dream come true.

YG Entertainment announced that BLACKPINK was collaborating with a mystery artist several weeks ago. The label refused to reveal who it was until Selena Gomez made the announcement on her Twitter account.

After teasing the concept of the summer track, it was revealed that the title was going to be "Ice Cream."

The track will be BLACKPINK's second pre-release song before they drop their first full album entitled BLACKPINK: The Album on October 2.

After promoting the full album, it is expected that Rose will release her first solo album which will contain multiple songs. YG announced that the album was completed last June but Rose and the other members opted to put off their solo debuts after group promotions.

Lisa is, also, expected to work on her solo debut after Rose. Meanwhile, Jisoo landed her first major drama role for Snowdrop. The drama will be helmed by Sky Castle's writer and director.
