It has been a long wait but the characters who will appear in The Suicide Squad have finally been revealed. During the movie's DC FanDome panel, director James Gunn has unveiled an official roll call teaser for the DC Extended Universe flick that confirmed which actor is playing who.

Interestingly, it looks like nobody was able to guess who Idris Elba will portray in the upcoming Warner Bros. film. However, his mysterious character may also confirm that Henry Cavill will make an appearance as Superman in the highly anticipated film.

The Suicide Squad roll call was first unveiled at DC FanDome and it confirmed the members of Task Force X who would be returning under Amanda Waller's (Viola Davis) new orders. In addition to that, they are getting some new members as well. The confirmed characters joining the Suicide Squad are listed below.

The video also confirmed that King Shark is part of the lineup but it wasn't until later in the panel that Steve Agee was introduced as the voice of the DC character. James Gunn also confirmed that the character will be played in motion capture by John Economos.

The panel, also, introduced Juan Diego Botto as the South American dictator Presidente General Silvio Luna while Joaquín Cosío will play El Presidente's second-in-command Major General Mateo Suarez. Additionally, Storm Reid has been cast as Bloodsport's daughter Tyla DuBois.

So what does Bloodsport's introduction into The Suicide Squad mean for the rest of the DCEU? It is important to point out that there are two Bloodsports in the comic books but only one of them has a major connection to a member of the Justice League.

In the comics, Robert DuBois was given several weapons by Lex Luthor who also gave him kryptonite bullets. DuBois would later shoot the Man of Steel with one of these bullets, injuring the superhero and leading to DuBois being imprisoned.

Idris Elba and Viola Davis confirmed that the Bloodsport who will appear in The Suicide Squad is the one who shot Superman. Naturally, this led to speculations that Henry Cavill would make an appearance in the film as the Man of Steel. However, it is important to point out that the cameo has not yet been confirmed so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.

The Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 6, 2021.
