Princess Diana was known for her love for the public, earning her the title “People’s Princess.” It was, also, evident how much she adored her sons Prince William and Prince Harry before her tragic passing in 1997.

While many have seen Princess Diana showing equal love for her sons, a new report revealed that her bond with the boys was quite different. According to her former personal chef, the Princess of Wales had more connection with Prince Harry than Prince William.

“She always used to say, ‘William is deep like his dad and stubborn, and Harry is a hothead like me: he does the first thing that comes into his head. They will look after the heir, and I will look after the spare. She connected with Harry more,” Darren McGrady said.

A previous report revealed how Princess Diana described Prince William and Prince Harry. Author and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine Ingrid Seward alleged that the People’s Princess said that “William was very sensitive, and Harry was the artistic and lively one who could cope with anything.”

However, Prince Harry had a hard time coping with royal life after marrying Meghan Markle in 2018. Just two years after they said their “I dos,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they would be stepping down from their senior royal roles.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, then, relocated to the U.S. with their son Archie after their withdrawal. The couple expressed multiple times how much they loved South Africa, so many speculated that they would be moving there. The Duke of Sussex even previously toyed with the idea of swapping Frogmore Cottage in Windsor for life in South Africa.

Prince Harry had always loved South Africa and even referred to it as his “second home.” He, Prince Charles, and Prince William even escaped to the country after the traumatic death of Princess Diana over two decades ago.

Despite Prince Harry’s love for South Africa, he told Tom Bradby during the 2019 ITV documentary that it would be “very hard” to move there due to the issues with living in the Commonwealth nation.

Royal expert Victoria Arbiter, previously, said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moving to South Africa with Archie is far from happening. She pointed out that there are so many things to consider if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will indeed move to South Africa.
