Next season will be different for the Chicago Bulls. The team has been working to again matter in the NBA and are taking the necessary steps to up their game. But the planned changes will make an impact if a new star will come in, perhaps somebody in the mold of Joel Embiid.

The Philadelphia 76ers big man, of course, is still tied with his present team but adjustments could happen in the coming weeks given the Sixers' disappointing playoffs series with the Boston Celtics. If Embiid becomes available, it would be wise for the Bull to make a move on the star.

The chief goal for Chicago's roster improvements is to develop a winning culture and the first step to be taken is to sign up a big name like Embiid, Fadeaway World reported, citing the analysis published by Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report.

Philadelphia failed to advance deep in the postseason but Embiid was impressive enough. His stats showed 23 points knocked down in every agent and the accuracy at 47%. Swartz said the 26-year-old is potentially more explosive on a team with just the right teammates supporting him.

And adding is just the start. The Bull will need to add firepower from the perimeter that will provide the room for Embiid to operate more efficiently. It will be a lot of work for the six-time NBA champions but the move has to start now. As Swartz reminded, there will be more opportunities to build up in the 2021 free agency.

Chicago will be making huge sacrifices in order to acquire the Sixers star but the report said, it would be best to keep Zach LaVine on the roster. And for the investment to pay off, strengthening the team's scoring ability is a must for reasons already mentioned above.

So it will be an exciting offseason for the Bulls and the right moves to be made by the team's front office will determine if Chicago will again become a force to reckon with on the east side of the NBA competition.

However, the big question that needs a solid answer is the actual availability of Embiid in the season break. There were hints that the Cameroon native was disappointed by the Sixers' early exit from Orlando and he did let out a sigh that moving on could be in the option.

Truth to tell though, it's not entirely up to Embiid. As far as Philadelphia is concerned, the star is staying and will continue playing in tandem with Ben Simmons.

"I'm not looking to trade Ben or Joel. I'm trying to compliment them ... They're 24 and 26 and want to be here. You try to make that fit as long as possible," NBA.com reported Sixers GM Elton Brand as saying.

The statement from Brand is the team executive emphasizing the reality that Embiid and Simmons are not going anywhere, and that is the status for now.
