Manifest season 3 is officially happening on NBC. However, there are a lot of uncertainties surrounding the series considering the current global health crisis. The release date remains unknown at the moment, though it is expected to arrive at some point in 2021.

But despite the setback, series creator and executive producer Jeff Rake has been sharing a lot of details about what's coming in Manifest season 3. In a video posted in the official Twitter account of the series, he discussed what to look forward, debunked some theories, and what happened in season 2.

For instance, Jared (J.R. Ramirez) will have a potential new love interest entering the latest installment. Also, a new passenger from Flight 828 will show up and broaden the mystery about their apparent disappearance. As for Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) and Zeke (Matt Long), they'll seek out a new place.

Moreover, Manifest season 3 returns a few months following the events that transpired in the season 2 finale. Apart from these interesting storylines, Rake also debunked some fan theories floating around the internet over the past several months.

Some speculated that there's a strong physical resemblance between Michaela and The Major (Elizabeth Marvel). But, the executive producer made it clear that The Major is not Michaela from the future. While time-traveling is possible within the series, this particular theory is unlikely.

Meanwhile, the video was posted on 8/28 in honor of the famed flight at the center of the series. Rake ended the clip by pointing out some interesting tidbits from the second season. Some of these include the parts of the plane found in the ocean.

This is another mystery in Manifest season 3, given that the plane landed during the pilot of the series. It raises questions as to whether or not the passengers truly existed. Moreover, Zeke survived his death date, giving the passengers hope that they could beat their expiration date, as well.

And since more passengers will show up, Michaela and others need to communicate with them. We could see more unexpected twists and turns moving forward. Also, some new enemies could emerge as the story progresses.

However, viewers have to wait for a while to see all of these. Manifest season 3 hasn't kicked off production yet. Cast and crew won't be able to start working anytime soon considering the current global health crisis. For now, the top priority remains to be the safety of everyone.
