BTS made another history and became the first Korean act to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They beat the previous record set by PSY, whose "Gangnam Style" peaked at No. 2 in 2012.

According to a report by Billboard, BTS topped the music chart with their latest hit "Dynamite." This is the first time for RM, J-Hope, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook to reach the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100.

Reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100 is a major milestone for BTS because the rankings are based on all genre, streaming, sales data, and radio airplay.

Based on data, "Dynamite" had a total of 33.9 million streams in the U.S. and 300,000 digital downloads in its first week. BTS' first English single was, also, played on the radio 11.6 million times.

This was not the first time for BTS to enter the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. They, previously, entered the chart with "ON," which peaked at No. 4, "Boy With Luv" with Halsey, which landed at No. 8, and "Fake Luv," which peaked at No. 10. They debuted on the chart in 2017 with "DNA."

Meanwhile, BTS performed "Dynamite" for the first time on stage for the MTV Video Music Awards last August 30. The event was viewed by a global audience through ViacomCBS channels like VH1 and Comedy Central.

Based on a review by the Hollywood Reporter, BTS, perfectly, delivered on the choreography and style that brought to life the fun and upbeat summer song.

Clad in suits, BTS oozed with perfect style on the stage with cityscapes, skyscrapers, and flashing billboards in the backdrop. The stage even had the signature pink sunset that was reminiscent of the track's record-breaking MV.

RM, J-Hope, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook capped off their performance with fireworks on stage as they delivered their "light it up like dynamite" lyrics, adding style and coolness to the performance.

During the awards, they, also, managed to bag trophies for all of the categories they were nominated for.

BTS took home the prize for Best Pop after they were pitted against music giants like Halsey, Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber and Quavo, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, as well as Taylor Swift. BTS picked up the win for Best Kpop against (G)I-DLE , EXO, MONSTA X, TXT, and Red Velvet. The group, also, took home the award for Best Group and Best Choreography for "ON."

BTS is set to release another album before the end of 2020.
