Kanye West has addressed the rumors he is being used by the Republican Party as a distraction in the upcoming elections. In a recent interview with Nick Cannon for Cannon's Class podcast, West was asked about religion, money, family and his presidential bid.

West admitted his political affiliation was often misinterpreted because of remarks he has made. The Jesus is King singer, however, said he had already withdrawn support for Donald Trump and he is going against the president too.

When asked about public opinion that he is being used by the Republican Party as a spoiler in the 2020 elections, the rapper said he was aware of what people thought about his political aspiration. The rapper acknowledged that many think that he is being paid by the Republican Party to draw off African-American votes from Joe Biden.

However, West maintained that nobody can pay him. He said he had had  more money than Trump.

In April, Forbes confirmed that West's current net worth is $1.3 billion. But according to the rapper, his net worth is $5 billion after striking a deal with GAP in June.

West also offered more proof that he can finance his own campaign and he is serious about it. Kim Kardashian's husband revealed he bought paparazzi companies so he has control of photos that he wants the public to see. Moreover, he spent millions on his Sunday Service.

In the 44-minute interview with Cannon, West confessed that he spent $50 million last year on his Sunday Service alone. He put money into his choir's clothes, flights, operas and other operating expenses.

It could be recalled that West's Sunday Service traveled across the country last year. They had services at Coachella Festival, Skid Row in L.A., at their family home in Calabasas, his ranch in Wyoming, and in several locations of The Forum. The group also traveled to Jamaica. West said it is his investment in spreading the gospel of God.

With all this money, West blasted Forbes Magazine for not including him in its billionaire list for the past two years. The Grammy winner said the publication snubbed him by God recognized his achievement.

West's recent interview came after he sued Wisconsin and Ohio to get his name on the November ballot. The Wisconsin Election Commission earlier claimed the rapper didn't meet its deadline to be considered in the ballot. Ohio, on the other hand, said West did not meet the requirements needed to file as a candidate in the state.
