BLACKPINK's "Kill This Love" MV just reached 1 billion views on YouTube. This is their second video to reach the milestone.

According to a report by Soompi, BLACKPINK achieved the feat last September at 3:08 p.m. KST. It took the video one year, four months, 28 days, and 15 hours to reach the milestone. The "Kill This Love MV" was first uploaded on YouTube on April 5, 2019, at 12 a.m. KST.

BLACKPINK's first video to reach 1 billion views was "DDU DU DDU DU" in November 2019. The video added 200 million views to its record since then and, now, it has 1.2 billion streams.

Only two other Korean acts managed to achieve reach 1 billion views on the streaming platform. PSY was the first to reach the  mark with his back to back hits "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman." BTS' 2017 hit "DNA," also, broke through the viewing record.

BLACKPINK is no stranger to YouTube records. They, recently, reached 100 million views for their "Ice Cream" collaboration with American pop star Selena Gomez. Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose achieved the feat in only 40 hours.

BLACKPINK's "As If Its Your Last" MV is steadily making its way to become the third MV to reach 1 billion mark. It, currently, has 858 million views.

Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose's June comeback with "How You Like That" is also faring well in streaming. With 484 million views in just two months, the MV is on its way to reaching 500 million streams in the next few weeks or months.

It can be recalled that, when it was released, the MV broke the record for the biggest MV premiere on YouTube,  the biggest number of YT streams in 24 hours, and the video to reach 100 million views at the fastest time.

It held on to the record for two months before BTS' "Dynamite" reclaimed the titles from them last August 21.

BLACKPINK is, currently, gearing up for their final and biggest comeback of the year on October 2 when the girls release their first full album entitled BLACKPINK: THE ALBUM.

The album is expected to include 10 songs including "How You Like That" and "Ice Cream." It is, also, rumored to include a collaboration with American rapper Cardi B.

Eagle-eyed BLINKs came up with a theory when they found a clue that YG Entertainment may have, intentionally, leaked from an image of the album's CD, Koreaboo reported.

BLACKPINK members are expected to focus on solo promotions after their final comeback of 2020.
