Dani Ceballos will continue playing in the Premier League and reports said the Spanish playmaker is back in England to sign a new deal with Arsenal. The 24-year-old will return on another loan deal following a successful spell last year that saw him figuring prominently in the Gunners' FA Cup win.

Ceballos arrived in London on Wednesday for his medical and after that, he is set to finalize the contract signing with Arsenal. The new agreement is said to be a done deal and the midfielder will be playing another season for Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.

The signing came as reports from Spain indicated that the player was set to bring his game back to La Liga. Metro reported that Ceballos made his way back to Madrid when the Premier League season concluded and was spotted training with his parent club Real Madrid.

There were speculations he was to rejoin his former club Real Betis but Los Blancos reportedly decided to send Ceballos back to England, where he excelled under the guidance of Arteta.

Per the same report, the Gunners welcome Ceballos' return and he will be Arteta's third signing in the summer after Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes. In the Emirates, the Spaniard is expected to continue his close collaboration on the pitch with fellow Gunners star Granit Xhaka.

Ceballos will likely occupy a regular spot on the Arsenal first-team is his performance in the last season was to go by. Arteta played the midfielder regularly when the season resumed in June and Ceballos was given 90 minutes on the pitch in the FA Cup final match against Chelsea.

Talk Sport said working with Arsenal again was a personal choice made by Ceballos, who entertained the idea of playing for Betis again in the previous months. It appeared that the player is convinced his best football would come out with Arteta guiding him.

He revealed that representing Arsenal was easy for him last season, adding that his teammates and the team supporters made him comfortable from the start. Ceballos said the decision to play for the English club proved pivotal for his career.

And the Spain international credited his fellow Spaniard, Arteta, for his good showing last season.

"He is using me in a position which is unusual for me, as a pivot in front of the defense next to Granit [Xhaka], so I think it's good that he is helping," Ceballos was reported as saying.

Ceballos said the manager's role in every game was crucial as he sees the things that players can't and can call for the adjustments to be made. On that note, the midfielder said he was deployed on the pitch for optimal results and he delivered, and that was because of Arteta.
