After one season with Chelsea, Christian Pulisic made a deep impact in the Premier League and he is tipped to soon catch the eyes of the elite clubs in Europe. If the winger will continue with the level he displayed in the last campaign, clubs like Bayern Munich and Barcelona will soon express interest on the rising star.

United States manager Gregg Berhalter said Pulisic is proving to be a key player for the Blues and his rise can be characterized as phenomenal. The USMNT boss noted that after only a year under Chelsea coach Frank Lampard, the American was able to convince that he belongs to the big league.

The 21-year-old adjusted quickly to the more physical football in England and Berhalter said Pulisic is leading the way for other U.S. players wanting to make it to the Premier League. The attacking midfielder has reached a high level of gameplay and if he sustains on that, there will be bigger things to come, said the United States head coach.

"If Christian maintains this level, he can also play for the biggest clubs in the world like Bayern, Barcelona, or Real Madrid without any problems," Goal reported Berhalter as saying.

The coach added that Pulisic starring for the Blues proved to be a perfect fit for his playing style. The winger his skills flourished even more at Stamford Bridge, and Berhalter said Pulisic is proving to be an effective goalscorer and preparer because of the opportunities afforded to him by the English giants.

The assessment was shared by Chelsea legend Pat Nevin, who said he would not be surprised if the American is awarded the No. 10 jersey by Lampard next season. For this to happen, however, Pulisic will need to compete with incoming Chelsea man Kai Havertz.

Nonetheless, Nevin said Pulisic's talent, intelligence, and speed are surefire recipes for success at Stamford. Not to mention that the Premier League star is just 21 years old, meaning he is packed with tons of potentials.

"He could be one of the most important players for this club over the next five to 10 years," Sports Illustrated reported the Chelsea hero as saying.

Nevin said he expects that Blues supporters will soon realize that Pulisic is a talent on his own and they will stop comparing the youngster to former Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

Indeed, Pulisic's first campaign with the Blues was impressive enough that Lampard declared recently the American has secured a spot on the first-team. The winger battled injuries last season but made it to 34 games in all competitions and scored 11 goals with 10 assists.

He is seen as instrumental in Chelsea's No. 4 finish in the Premier League, which will allow the club to compete in the Champions League next season.
