U.S. President Donald Trump's former "fixer" Michael Cohen in his upcoming book "Disloyalty: A Memoir" describes the president as a racist and a liar and obsessed with his predecessor President Barack Obama.

In the book, out Tuesday, Cohen describes Trump in poor terms based on his decadelong business relationship. Cohen called Trump "a cheat, a liar, a fraud, a bully, a racist, a predator, a con man." He alleged Trump was interested in the presidency only for his personal financial benefit.

Before their falling out in 2018 Cohen was Trump's lawyer and "fixer" for the president's legal problems. Cohen apologizes for his role in Trump's rise. He admitted he was "more than willing to lie, cheat and bully" to help Trump win the White House.

In December 2018, Cohen was sentenced to three years in federal prison and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine after pleading guilty to one count of lying to Congress on Trump's behalf. He also pleaded guilty to several counts of tax evasion and campaign-finance violations. He is currently serving the remainder of his sentence under home confinement.

Cohen calls his book an intimate portrait of Trump. He said there were no other books like "Disloyalty" because Trump "has a million acquaintances, pals and hangers on but no real friends."

Cohen says he was the only person Trump trusted to keep his secrets. For 10 years "Trump certainly had me, and I was always there for him, and look what happened to me," Cohen said.

Extracts from the book released over the weekend claim Trump is a racist. In one example, Cohen said Trump once asked him to "tell me one country run by a black person that isn't a sh*thole. They are all complete f*cking toilets!"

Trump also allegedly criticized South African leader Nelson Mandela while praising the apartheid regime which was overthrown in 1994. "Mandela fucked the whole country up!" Cohen claims Trump said. "Now it's a sh*thole." He allegedly said Mandela was not a world leader.

Cohen claimed Trump criticized Black and minority voters and once said: "I will never get the Hispanic vote. Like the blacks, they're too stupid to vote for Trump. They're not my people."

In a statement to The Washington Post White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said: "Michael Cohen is a disgraced felon and disbarred lawyer who lied to Congress. He has lost all credibility and it's unsurprising to see his latest attempt to profit (from) lies."

Cohen says Trump has a special dislike of Obama and allegedly described him as "Manchurian candidate" who owed his place at Columbia University and Harvard Law School to "affirmative action."

Trump once hired a Black man similar in appearance to Obama and wanted to use him in an episode of his former TV show "The Apprentice" where Trump fired the "Faux-Bama." Cohen includes a photograph of Trump sitting behind a desk with the man.
