Lee Dong Wook is all set to play the first male gumiho on TV.

According to a report by Soompi, the Touch Your Heart star will play the titular role in tvN's fantasy drama Tale of the Nine Tailed.

In an interview with Lee Dong Wook, he talked about his role in the drama. He said he will play the role of a gumiho or nine tailed fox who once ruled as the guardian spirit of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range. The character now lives among humans as a judge who punishes monsters that disrupt the world of the living.

According to Lee Dong Wook, he is excited to play the role because of the character's complexity. He said that even the story operates on a mixed genre.

Lee Dong Wook said that one of the challenges of playing his role as a gumiho in disguise is the number of scars that his character carries. Because the character has lived for a long time, he has been burdened by his pain for a long period as well.

The actor further said that he is excited to welcome back Kim Bum after a long hiatus. He praised the younger actor for being a great junior who works hard and always comes prepared.

Based on a report by Kstarzlive, Tale of the Nine Tailed will be Kim Bum's major comeback after four years. Producers of the drama already teased that Kim Bum will be able to showcase his different charms in the fantasy series. They said fans should look forward to his portrayal of the gumiho Yi Rang.

Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum will be joined by Jo Bo Ah, who recently concluded the romantic drama Forest with Park Hae Jin.
