NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 has officially kicked off filming just recently. The series has been on hiatus due to the current global health crisis. But, the good news is that everyone is back on set to film new episodes of the upcoming installment.

In one of his recent Instagram posts, Christian Eric Olsen, who plays Marty Deeks, confirmed that he is back on set and ready to start filming NCIS: Los Angeles season 12. He shared a photo of himself with co-star Daniela Ruah, who portrays Deeks' love interest, Kensi Blye.

Deeks and Kensi are one of the most popular couples within the series. A lot of fans are interested to see more of them together. They are planning to start their own family, but they recognize that doing this is not that easy. There are other things that need to be considered.

Both of them have been trying to figure out what they want for their future. Their biggest issue here is that they are dedicated to their professions. Now, NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 could see Deeks and Kensi contemplating on whether starting a family or not.

Aside from their romantic relationship, it's also nice to see Deeks and Kensi working together on certain cases. However, it should be noted that Olsen's character was not in every episode of the previous installment and that may continue moving forward.

Olsen is busy not just as an actor, but as a producer, as well. He serves as one of the executive producers for Hulu's new series, Woke. Hence, there a chance he will have fewer appearances in NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 to balance his schedule.

Meanwhile, there could be some changes in the new season once it premieres on CBS. The real-life health crisis remains to be the biggest filming challenge for the show. Cast and crew need to follow some health guidelines and protocols in order to ensure their safety.

In fact, Ruah shared on her previous Instagram Story that their environment is completely different than before. Masks are being worn and everyone is doing their best to keep things safe amidst the pandemic. Also, the actress revealed that they're frequently disinfecting things.

As for the official release date of NCIS: Los Angeles season 12, nothing is confirmed at the moment. But, the series is expected to premiere this coming November. Since production has officially started, there's a possibility that the schedule will be followed.
