BLACKPINK will be featured in the cover of the U.S. version of Elle Magazine for its October issue.

According to a report by All Kpop, the group photo and solo images of the members have been released featuring Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose clad in black and white ensembles that range from retro to edgy.

The magazine also declared BLACKPINK as the biggest girl group in the world along with the feature article entitled "The Future is BLACKPINK."

BLINKs expressed excitement overseeing Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose to rock the outfits and gain global attention with their recent string of comebacks.

It can be recalled that after over a year of hiatus from releasing new music, BLACKPINK made a statement by opening the year with a collaboration with Lady Gaga for her song "Sour Candy."

BLACKPINK followed up the song with their pre-release track, "How You Like That," which broke viewing and streaming records on YouTube when it came out last June.

Last month, the girls returned once again with a collaboration with American pop star Selena Gomez, with the song "Ice Cream." It was later revealed that Ariana Grande and her "Thank U, Next" producer Tommy Brown were involved in writing and producing the hit summer song.

BLACKPINK is currently bracing for the release of their first full album entitled BLACKPINK: THE ALBUM on October 2. BLACKPINK will also get its own Netflix documentary on October 14 entitled Light Up the Sky. The documentary will chronicle Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose's journey from their debut in 2016 until their first performance at the Coachella Festival in 2019.

BLACKPINK members said that they were excited for fans to see the documentary because they wanted to share their stories with BLINKS all over the world. The documentary is directed by Catherine Suh, who also helmed Netflix's Salt Fat Acid Heat.

However, along with the global attention that BLACKPINK is getting, members are also getting their fair share of criticism.

Jennie recently became the subject of censure when a portion of her quote from an interview made her seem like she was boasting about paving the way for other artists because of BLACKPINK's success.

As the full clip of the interview was released, it was discovered that Jennie's statement was taken out of context. In her original quote, Jennie paid tribute to their seniors and said that they once did what they were doing today. She said she hopes that BLACKPINK will be able to open the same doors to other artists as well, Micky reported.
