BTS topped this month's brand reputation rankings for boy groups while BLACKPINK ranked first among Kpop girl groups.

According to a report by Soompi, BTS held on to the top spot of the brand reputation rankings for the 28th month in a row.

For September, they had a brand reputation index of 17,700,138 and posted a 98.33 rise from their index last month. They had an 82.20 percent positive rating.

Among the high ranking phrases for BTS were "Dynamite," "Billboard," and "YouTube." They also ranked high for related terms like "record," "appear" and "comfort."

It came as no surprise that BTS would continue to top this month's rankings because of the massive success of their first English single "Dynamite."

It can be recalled that the song skyrocketed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, making BTS the first Korean act to achieve the honor.

BTS will also become part owners of Big Hit Entertainment once the company rolls out its initial public offering. They were reportedly gifted shares of the company as part of CEO Bang Si Hyuk's commitment to maintaining strong ties with Big Hit's main artists.

Landing in second place for this month's rankings is EXO with a brand reputation index of 2,271,119. This is still an impressive showing for the group considering they have no current group activities for September.

SEVENTEEN took third place with a 2,135,606 index.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK topped the brand reputation rankings for girl groups for the third month in a row. They posted an impressive 11,211,456 index for September with an 89.02 percent positive reaction, based on the study conducted by the Korean Business Research Institute.

BLACKPINK's stats for September marked an increase of 12.99 percent from last month's performance. Among the high ranking phrases related to BLACKPINK were "Netflix", "Billboard" and "YouTube."

It can be recalled that the YG girl group released their collaboration with Selena Gomez last August 28 which already hit over 100 million views on YouTube.

Adding to this is Netflix's announcement that they will release a documentary featuring Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose on October 14. Light Up the Sky will hit the streaming platform on October 14, Soompi reported.

BLACKPINK also ranked high for the related terms "record," "surpass," and "release."

MAMAMOO took the second spot with a 5,893,884 index this month, while Oh My Girl, (G)-IDLE, and Red Velvet rounded up the top 5 girl groups this September.
