The Boys season 2 episode 6 is coming next week on Amazon Prime Video, with the title "The Bloody Doors Off." There are a lot of things to anticipate here, especially after the unexpected hookup between Homelander (Antony Starr) and Stormfront (Aya Cash).

Details about the upcoming The Boys season 2 episodes 6 remain scarce at the moment. But, it is expected to continue exploring the evolving relationship of Homelander and Stormfront. A shocking twist happened in episode 5, hinting a more complicated bond moving forward.

In the previous episode, Homelander decided to set aside his pride and asked Stormfront to help him with his declining popularity problem. She agreed and enlisted her meme markers, who successfully boosted The Seven leader's score. Then, Homelander hooked up with Stormfront to pay her back.

In a new interview with TVLine, Starr discussed this surprising moment, as well as his character's feelings towards her. He explained that everything goes back to the neediness of Homelander. He said that Stormfront did a few things that rang home for him and pushed all the right buttons.

Homelander is a narcissistic sociopath, and she was able to say all the right things to him. She doesn't break easily, which makes here great for him. In The Boys season 2 episode 6, we could see the two clashing, once again, because of their opinions on certain things.

Homelander and Stormfront's relationship won't get romantic anytime soon. They have different personalities and don't get along very well. But then, they also recognize that they need each other to get whatever they want.

Both of them are very complex and narcissistic characters. They can manipulate each other for their own benefit. They're powerful and warped by their super capabilities. Even though there is real affection between them, it's intertwined with needs.

The major problem here is that Stormfront doesn't play Homelander's game. She has her own game, which is completely different and he doesn't know how it works. In addition, he is not used to dealing with someone who doesn't respect and fear him.

For now, it's yet to be seen whether the two will eventually become friends or foe. While they could end up killing each other, there have been previous hints that they could work together later on. Homelander doesn't agree with Stormfront's opinion, but he values control.

The Boys season 2 episode 6 airs on Friday, Sept. 25, on Amazon Prime Video.
