The Boys season 2 episode 5 is coming next week on Amazon Prime Video, with the title "We Gotta Go Now." The previous episode showed Butcher receiving a major setback, while Homelander battles his insecurities. Both of them hate each other, but they're seemingly in the same position now.
The Boys season 2 episode 5 will pick up the events that happened in episode 4. Butcher (Karl Urban) finally met with his wife, Becca (Shanter VanSanten), again. But then, she refused to run away with him, making the whole purpose of his fight nullified.
Butcher went through so much just to be with his wife again. Now that he realized they're different people in different places, he wanted to seek revenge. He'd thrown himself into the fight against The Seven and Vought. It's interesting to see what would be his move this time around.
Meanwhile, Homelander (Antony Starr) is determined to get his position back in The Seven. However, his rivalry with Stormfront (Aya Cash) is getting worse -- making his situation even more complicated. In next week's episode, we're going to see the two facing off each other for the leader position.
Stormfront's past has been explored, as well. It was revealed that she's the superhero named Liberty, who had gone AWOL a long time ago. This means there are a lot of stories to tell and she may have a more in-depth history with Vought.
For now, we've seen her building an army of angry supporters and they're learning more to be their own heroes. This is something that Homelander can take on himself if he wanted to do so. If these two get on the same page, they could be very dangerous.
As for what else is coming in The Boys season 2 episode 5, we could see Hughie (Jack Quaid) and Starlight's (Erin Moriarty) relationship further evolving. It's clear that they do have feelings for each other, but there could be too much danger if they choose to be fully together.
Also, next week's episode may focus on Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), the most mysterious member of The Seve. He'd shown some interest in Butcher and we're going to find out why. The confrontation between them suggests that an exciting action sequence is coming.
