Mission Impossible 7 is now in the works and, with a high-profile name link to the project, it isn't shy from controversy. With a slew of rumors plaguing Tom Cruise and his alleged perfectionist attitude, it is true that he fired some cast and crew?
Radar Online claimed last year that Cruise fired the cast and crew of Missions Impossible 7. Allegedly, they "weren't in shape" the way the actor 58-year-old actor wanted that's why they were let go.
The publication alleged the Top Gun star gave everyone involved in the movie a "severe ultimatum" to "get fit or get out." A so-called insider revealed Katie Holmes' former husband wanted everyone working for the franchise to be "fit and healthy" no matter what.
Although it's quite understandable that the cast needed to be fit to do the film, it's questionable why the crew also had to be in shape. The staff only worked behind the camera, so they would not be seen on screen.
Gossip Cop debunked the claim, insisting Cruise never demanded the cast and crew to be fit and healthy. He didn't ask them to be strict with their diet or even their health regimen to do Mission Impossible 7.
As Cruise seemed to be the one who's strict with his diet, he told James Corden he gave out his desserts to the cast and crew because he couldn't eat it. Hence, it wasn't a "severe ultimatum" that Suri Cruise's father gave but food.
Mission: Impossible has been known for its epic stunts and choreography. Since the movie series began in 1996, Cruise has managed to continue doing its death-defying scenes.
After 24 years, director Christopher McQuarrie seems to come up with a new way to keep this tradition alive in Mission Impossible 7, Cinemablend noted. The filmmaker announced the continuation of the film's production by releasing a photo showing a man standing on a long ramp in front of the mountains on the other side.
In a post on Instagram, he captioned the photo with "action" and used the hashtag "#MI7 Day 1." Surely, this will be another incredible scene fans are about to see in Mission Impossible 7.
One fan assumed Cruise would drive on this ramp and cross the mountain on the other side. The film, reportedly, has a six-week planned stunt that the cast and crew have been working on.
However, a disaster happened. A stuntman flew off the ramp and landed on padded cardboard safely, but his motorbike exploded a few feet away.
Fortunately, no one was hurt, but it caused setbacks to production. It remains to be seen if fans will see Cruise doing this stunt in the film's release on Nov. 19, 2021.
