IU is the most streamed solo Kpop artist on Spotify, a list compiled from the streaming platform revealed.

According to a list released by a netizen, IU takes the crown as the most-streamed individual KPop artist on Spotify with 670 million streams, All Kpop reported.

IU is trailed by Taeyeon with 458 million streams. Rapper Jay Park took the third position with 433 million streams and Psy landed in fourth place with 376 million. "Gashina" singer Sunmi also ranked high in 5th place with 312 million streams.

BTS rapper J-Hope also made it to the list of most-streamed solo artists as his songs raked in 308 million streams. Dance queen Chung Ha trailed at 303 million while BTS rappers RM and Suga took the eighth and ninth spots with 291 million and 281 million streams.

BIGBANG leader G-Dragon may be on hiatus but his songs remain strong on Spotify with 270 million streams.

For girl groups, it was BLACKPINK who took the crown with a whopping 3.19 billion streams on the platform. TWICE was in second place with 1.82 billion streams.

Red Velvet did pretty well with 1.22 billion streams on Spotify. MAMAMOO was in 4th place with 574 million streams, followed by (G)I-DLE, and rookie group ITZY. Second-gen idols remained popular on the streaming platform with Girl's Generation taking seventh place and 2NE1 making it to ninth place with 289 million streams. GFriend and the EXID ranked eighth and 10 places.

Meanwhile, it was no surprise that BTS dominated the boy group category with 11.87 billion streams. They were followed by EXO, who recorded 1.8 million streams on the music platform.

SEVENTEEN had 998 million streams while BIGBANG remained solid in fourth place with 995 million streams. Stray Kids has 770 million streams while NCT 127 charted 769 million streams. MONSTA X, GOT7, iKON, and Day6 rounded up the Top 10 most streamed Kpop boy groups on Spotify.

KPop remains one of the most popular categories on Spotify. The number of streams is expected to rise even further with the upcoming KPop comebacks slated for October and November.

BLACKPINK is expected to release their first full album on October 2 while BTS just announced that its album BE will drop on November 20. SEVENTEEN, NCT, and MONSTA X are also expected to release new music next month. Also among the Kpop acts who will release comebacks for October are SF9, Ailee, Super Junior's Kyuhyun, DAWN, LOONA, and TXT, Kpop official reported.
