Prime Day 2020 sales event is set for October 13 and 14 as confirmed by Amazon with some Prime subscriber-exclusive preview deals available today.

After initial leaks on the date of its 2020 Prime Day sales event schedule, Amazon finally confirms it will take place on October 13 and October 14 in the US and many other territories. The retail giant and popular cloud services provider have started promoting Prime Day 2020 recently.

The two-day 2020 Prime Day sales event will start at midnight Pacific Time on Tuesday, October 13, and will continue until the following day, October 14. According to Amazon, the event was actually scheduled months earlier, though it was delayed due to the prevailing coronavirus health crisis. Nevertheless, the mega-retailer previously stated that the huge sales event will still happen though they did not confirm as to when until recently.

On its fifth year now, the 2020 Prime Day sales event scheduled for October 13 and October 14 is a huge shopping affair aimed at encouraging and convincing customers to sign up for Amazon Prime subscription. Only those who have subscribed can avail of most of the deals offered during the two-day event, although customers can also enroll in a 30-day free trial to take part in the event and get their hands on good deals.

Like in the past events, Amazon says subscribers will have the opportunity for "incredible savings and deep discounts" across more than one million deals during the 2020 Prime Day sales event set for October 13 and October 14. The mega-retailer reminds everyone to ensure they secure an Amazon Prime membership to take part in the event.

Membership after the 30-day free trial costs around $12.99 per month, and also comes with access to Prime Video, unlimited photo storage, as well as ad-free music streaming and unlimited reading. It also avails you a fast and free two-day shipping of products you ordered online. Once you are already a member, make sure that your payment methods, including default delivery and 1-Click settings, are up to date so you can grab your preferred deals during the 2020 Prime Day sales event on October 13 and October 14.

The online retail giant also said that as part of their commitment to small business partners that sell through Amazon, they are also providing a $10 credit to United States customers until October 12, if they can spend $10 or more on products from certain small businesses. Amazon said the credit is applicable to purchases done during the 2020 Prime Day sales event on October 13 and October 14.

Aside from its announcement of its 2020 Prime Day sales event on October 13 and October 14, Amazon also revealed its plans to allocate over $100 million on fresh promotional activities designed to assist small businesses selling through the online retail behemoth. If you are already a Prime subscriber, make sure to bookmark the deal page at Amazon so you will immediately see all the items included in the sale on the day of the event.
