Meghan Markle allegedly showed signs of anger and was defensive all throughout her interview at Fortune Magazine's Most Powerful Women Summit on Tuesday, a body language expert claimed.

Judi James told Daily Mirror that she studied the Duchess of Sussex's video and compared her actions to her controversial interview with Tom Bradby of ITV in October 2019.  Meghan Markle wasn't able to hide her emotion while speaking with Bradby.

In the Fortune summit, the body language expert said that Meghan appeared like she really wants "to get down to business" as she projected confidence and power while talking to Ellen McGirt. The Duchess of Sussex was invited to the event to discuss online toxic culture and hate speech, as part of her and Prince Harry's advocacy to use technology responsibly.

James said that Meghan made gestures with her hair and her eyes, particularly the accelerated blinking, to convey her bewilderment over observations that she is a controversial personality, according to her critics. At one point, Meghan appeared emotional and almost in tears, mimicking the same reactions she had when she told Bradby that she was not okay in the royal palaces.

Meghan also acknowledged that many of her statements are misinterpreted. She believes, however, that what is really provoking people is the way they negatively interpret what she said.

The Duchess of Sussex explained that as much as she tries to live with a purpose or be authentic, there will be people who will have bad viewpoints and interpretations of her actions and intentions. So, to deal with the naysayers, Meghan said that she tries to drown out the noise and just focus on living a "purpose-driven life" and hold on to her moral compass.

Quoting Georgia O'Keeffe, Meghan said that she has learned to liberate herself from people's opinions. She finds that, if she lives with her own truth, she can easily move on, rather than be bogged down by the vitriol and negativity.

But, TV presenter Lorraine Kelly said that Meghan's latest statements did raise good points. However, she believes that the reason the Duchess of Sussex receives negative reactions isn't because of the people's interpretations of her statements.

Kelly said that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seek out attention despite professing they want a private life. The presenter ended up lecturing the Duchess of Sussex on her program, reminding her that she "can't have it both ways."
