Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are at a wonderful time in their lives as sisters and as mothers. The York royals are reportedly bonding over the fact that they are growing their family at the same time, with Eugenie's pregnancy and Beatrice's special role as a stepmother.

According to Daily Express, Eugenie's first baby will be due in early 2021 but she can pick points about motherhood from her older sister, Beatrice. The York royal has not yet given birth but she married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July and instantly became a mother.

Princess Beatrice's husband has a four-year-old son, Wolfie, from a previous relationship. Essentially, this makes Beatrice the first blood royal to become a stepmother. Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, is also a stepmother to William and Harry, the York royals' cousins but she married into the family and is not a direct royal descendant.

Sources revealed to Daily Express that Beatrice takes her duty as Wolfie's stepmother seriously. Apparently, the princess is very hands-on with Wolfie and has been on several school runs. Onlookers said that they often see the royal giving Wolfie a hug or taking his school bag so he can play with his scooter when the princess picks him up in school.

The source said that Princess Beatrice dotes on her stepson. The York royal considers the boy as her own ever since she started dating Edo nearly two years ago. In time, however, friends think that Beatrice will also consider having her own child with Edo.

Princess Eugenie, on the other hand, will be a first-time mother after two years of marriage to Jack Brooksbank. The second daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Duke and Duchess of York, has been with her husband for 10 years before they decided to exchange vows in 2018.

Friends of the royal princess said that Eugenie will likely be a bohemian mother, taking after the Duchess of York's parenting style. Eugenie has this fun way about her while her husband will likely become the "calm and chilled" parent, the friend said.

During the lockdown, Eugenie and her mother indulged themselves in dressing up and goofing around for the Duchess of York's YouTube channel. Royal protocols are more relaxed for the York sisters as they are not working members of the royal family.

But, Beatrice's sensitivity and caring ways will also likely rub off on her younger sister. Eugenie looks up to her sister a lot and while their bond has always been close, they are closer today as budding parents.

Sources also said that Princess Eugenie and Jack are likely going to choose an "ordinary" name for their baby despite speculations that they will pick a traditional name from the family. According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, via Vanity Fair, they want their son or daughter to live a normal life, away from any royal protocols.
