Buckingham Palace is currently setting the program for the annual Remembrance Sunday service this November and Prince Andrew might likely not be making his appearance amid his controversies. Royal staff members, however, expect Queen Elizabeth to be present at the traditional event.

Insiders told Daily Mail that Palace aides are in agony over the arrangements for Remember Sunday. Apart from scaling down the service due to the pandemic, the aides are in a bind over Prince Andrew.

The Duke of York stepped back from his royal duties almost a year ago because of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. However, Prince Andrew hasn't given up his military roles. The Queen's second son is still the Colonel of the Grenadier Guards and he might expect a part in the Remembrance Sunday service as a veteran of the Falklands War.

What has been confirmed, so far, is that the Queen will be at the event and will be watching the laying of the wreath on the Cenotaph from the balcony. Prince Charles, the heir to the throne, will lead the country in giving out the tributes.

This isn't the first public royal event that Prince Andrew has been uninvited to. Daily Express reported that royal aides will make sure that the Duke of York will not be seen in pictures for Prince Philip's 100th birthday in June 2021.

Sources said that the Duke of Edinburgh is fond of his son but his ties to a convicted pedophile is a "poison" to the royal family. Royal biographer Nigel Cawthrone said that cutting Prince Andrew out is a matter of survival for the monarchy.

Critics of the Duke of York expect that Prince Andrew will lose his HRH (His Royal Highness) distinction in a matter of time as the Epstein scandal isn't simmering down. Prince Andrew has yet to speak with U.S. authorities regarding what he knows of his friend's sex trafficking trade.

Prince Andrew was also noticeably not in the photos of his eldest daughter's wedding in July. Princess Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a scaled down ceremony but Buckingham Palace released only four official images with the bride and groom joined by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. The Duke and Duchess of York were not in the pictures.

Consequently, Prince Andrew wasn't able to publicly greet his other daughter, Princess Eugenie, after she announced her first pregnancy with Jack Brooksbank, her husband of two years. The Duke of York has a social media account but it has remained inactive since his resignation from his royal duties.
