Wonho recently shared his plans for his solo career during his cover shoot for The STAR Magazine.

According to the former MONSTA X member, he was very thankful to be chosen the cover of a magazine. He also thanked fans for supporting his first solo album Love Synonym #1: Right for Me

During the interview, he said that he wanted his debut album to showcase what he wanted to be identified as an artist. He explained that he wanted to present himself as a singer who is sexy and good at dancing. He admitted that as he moves forward in his career, he wants to be with the fans for a long time. He promised that he will work hard until the day comes.

It can be recalled that before embarking on his solo career, Wonho was one of the members of Starship Entertainment's MONSTA X. However, he became embroiled in a scandal when he was accused of owing money by an old roommate last year. The roommate Jung Dae Eun also claimed that Wonho was involved in a juvenile misdemeanor and became involved in the use of marijuana.

Despite strong fan support, Wonho and Starship Entertainment came to the agreement that he would leave MONSTA X and the label to protect the rest of the members from public criticism. During his hiatus, Wonho focused on cooperating with the authorities for the investigation of his case.

Wonho was cleared by police on drug allegations last March and signed with Highline Entertainment, a subsidiary of Starship Entertainment in April. The agency revealed that they have been quietly supporting Wonho with his legal needs while he was out of the spotlight. They also announced plans to launch him as a solo artist around this time.

To promote his international activities, Wonho also signed with American label Maverick Management, the agency in charge of promoting MONSTA X's music on a global scale, Soompi reported.

According to Wonho, he was very happy with his decision. He said that he was ready to give his all to the fans to thank them for their unwavering support, especially through his difficult times. He paid special tribute to MONSTA X's MONBEBEs and his fandom WENEE (We Are New Ending) for their love. For his debut album as a solo singer, Wonho helped write and compose all the songs in Love Synonym #1: Right for Me. Of all the tracks in his album, he said that his favorite was "Losing You" because it means a lot to himself and his fans, Metro UK reported.
