As if drumming up a surefire blockbuster UFC encounter, Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya have continued exchanging insults and the escalating feud is only expected to heat up in the months to come. In his latest tirade, Bones claimed his rival does not represent African UFC fighters, insisting that Adesanya is "soft."

The heavyweight MMA artist fired off his criticisms via Twitter, in which he depicted the middleweight warrior as inferior compared to UFC superstar Conor McGregor. Jones said the Irishman is royalty in the UFC ring and Adesanya will never come close.

"McGregor came and made Ireland look like royalty. You came and made African men look soft," The Daily Mail reported Jones as saying in his social media post.

Per the same report, the war of words between the two reached an ugly level in the immediate aftermath of Adesanya's TKO victory over Paulo Costa at UFC 253. The Nigerian native scored an impressive win, and his success appeared to have further stoked Jones' into fighting his ring enemy.

Jones had stated in the past that he is ready to face Adesanya but the latter seemed unwilling and can only talk about a potential showdown.

So if only to put pressure on his foe, Bones is stepping up on the trash talk. Jones pointed out that it appeared to him the New Zealander is growing a pair of breasts, obviously referring to the rumors that Adesanya is on steroids.

The UFC champ, however, dismissed the allegations. He pointed to the fact that his drug tests will show favorable results and steroids were never a part of his menu.

Also, Adesanya countered Jones' social media attacks by reminding him that his mother would not be proud of his recent behavior.

The Jones-Adesanya spat and the raging word war all boils down to a UFC match that will require one of the fighters to make the weight adjustment. Already, Adesanya has indicated willingness to move two steps up to accommodate the expected bruising clash with his pound-for-pound foe.

Should the UFC fight come to fruition, Daniel Cormier said he has a winner already and it will be Adesanya for him. Cormier, once beaten by Jones, believes that it will be a stunning victory for the reigning middleweight title-holder, according to Talk Sport.

UFC chief Dana White has hinted that staging the fight is a possibility but considering the significant difference in weight, the showdown becoming real is at best iffy. Jones is now at the 240lbs level and Adesanya at 185lbs so it will be tons of work for the latter to catch up.

Still, Adesanya made clear that fighting with Jones is part of his plan. He said that two more defense fights are in the cards then perhaps it's on for the big one with Bones.
