The latest installment in the "Assassin's Creed" franchise is just a few weeks away, offering fans a new way to relive the Viking era through "Assassin's Creed Valhalla." The game is anticipated to feature an expansive open-world map, but regions in this world are still unknown. Interestingly, the game's art director recently let slip a piece of major information concerning one of the locations on the map.

Earlier, "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" fans learned two crucial locations in the game that they could explore--Norway and England. On Twitter, the game's Art Director Rafael Lacoste revealed that Asgard is one of the places that fams would explore soon. The information surfaced after a fan asked the art director about his favorite place in the game.

Lacoste shared that his favorite place in "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" among a few more places, is Asgard. The art director's answer confirmed that Asgard, one of the nine kingdoms in Norse mythology and the gods' home, is in the game. Valhalla is said to be a hall for killed warriors, which is located within Asgard.

Aside from the Asów or gods, Asgard is also home for the Aesirs aside from popular characters like Odin, Thor, Baldur, Loki, and Hajmdal. It is clear that "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" will feature a lot of events and supernatural characters. As per the game's art director, the world they have created is the most diverse one in the whole range of Ubisoft titles.

For several times, "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" has hinted that the game's main protagonist Eivor may have a bigger destiny. With the art director's statement, it appears as though Eivor may have a link to the Gods. The industry has seen a lot of versions of Asgard over the years, and it is interesting to see how this popular iconic place is depicted in the upcoming game.

A few weeks ago, a gameplay footage of "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" revealed the medieval vibe of ninth-century England. The location appears to feature a significant difference from the environment shown in Ancient Greece of "Assassin's Creed Odyssey."

"Assassin's Creed Valhalla" is the first game to release on Xbox Series X and PS5. It is anticipated to run in 4K at 60 frames per second on both next-gen gaming consoles. Fans are looking forward to its arrival since it would serve as a great test on the capabilities of both PS5 and Xbox Series X.
