Manifest season 3 is in production at the moment. The series wasn't able to start filming immediately due to the current global health crisis, and it's not expected to premiere anytime soon. Despite the delays, fans have been getting updates as to what's coming next.

Manifest season 3 will be introducing a new character once it arrives. Recently, TVLine reported that former Luke Cage/Boardwalk Empire actor Warner Miller is one of the newest additions in the NBC series. He'll be playing the role of Tarik, Grace Stone's (Athena Karkanis) estranged brother.

This is a chance to explore Grace's past, especially since the series didn't have a lot of discussion about her backstory. Tarik's arrival could open more stories, and it seems like he'll spend most of his time around the Stone family. He reluctantly agreed to help them when they have nowhere else to run.

Only a few details were known about Tarik, but showrunner Jeff Rake teased the character's introduction: "Let the fireworks begin". Perhaps, his arrival has something to do with the Stone family finding themselves in the middle of chaos, and Tarik is the only real resolution.

The family has dealt with desperate times before, but some things might be different this time around. It's interesting to see how Tarik interacts with Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh), Ben (Josh Dallas), and others. He could likely help them with the mysteries surrounding Flight 828.

In addition to Miller's character, Manifest season 3 will also introduce a mysterious character named Angelina, one of the passengers of Flight 828. She's played by The Americans alumna Holly Taylor, who's set to be a series regular moving forward.

It's yet to be seen what would be her role in the lives of Michaela, Ben, and others. Perhaps, she has a connection to everyone, aside from being on the same plane. Given that she's appearing regularly, Angelina's emergence is an integral part of the story.

As for what else is coming, Manifest season 3 returns a few months following the events that happened at the end of the second installment. Michaela and Zeke (Matt Long) look for a new place, while Jared (J.R. Ramirez) meets his new love interest.

Additionally, a new mystery emerged in the season 2 finale, wherein a fragment of the plane was recovered in the ocean. It raises a lot of questions since the plane landed during the pilot of the series. While dealing with this, Michaela and Ben must figure out how to beat their death dates.

At the moment, the official release date of Manifest season 3 is unknown. Since filming hasn't started immediately, we can't expect the series coming back anytime soon. Some speculated that the latest installment will arrive at some point in 2021.
